๐ Family Password Guide
Our own password manager โ free, private, and just for us

VAULT SENSEI
Yosh! Today you master the ancient art of
Not Forgetting Your Passwords. Read carefully, young one.
What This Is
This is our family's own password manager, like LastPass or the password saver built into your phone or browser โ except it lives on our own server instead of some company's. It works the same way: save a password once, it fills in automatically everywhere, and it's the same on your phone, your computer, and any browser.
Nobody outside our family can see or access it. It's just ours.
The Website

Getting Set Up (Android)
- Open the Play Store and install the app called Bitwarden โ yes, Bitwarden, not Vaultwarden. It's the real app, just pointed at our own server instead of theirs.
- Open the app. On the login screen, tap the little gear icon before typing anything.
- Where it asks for a server URL, enter: vault.teichou.net
- Ask Dad for your account โ he sets these up, you can't sign yourself up.
- Log in and pick a strong master password. This is the ONE password you actually have to remember โ write it down somewhere safe just in case.
Getting Set Up (Chrome / Edge on a computer)
- Install the Bitwarden extension from the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons.
- Click the puzzle-piece icon, then Bitwarden, then the gear/settings icon before logging in.
- Same server address: vault.teichou.net
- Log in with the same account you use on your phone โ everything syncs automatically between them.
Don't forget your master password. Unlike a regular account, there's no "forgot password" reset for this one โ it's the key that unlocks everything else. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

Forget this password and even I cannot save you. Not even my Ultimate Tech Support Beam can undo a forgotten master password. Write. It. Down.

How to Actually Use It
- When you log into a website, the extension/app offers to save the password. Say yes.
- Next time you visit that site, it auto-fills the login for you.
- Need to see a saved password? Open the app, tap the item, tap the eye icon.
- Want to save something manually (like a Wi-Fi password or a PIN)? Tap the + button in the app.
๐ POWER-UP: Turn on 2-step login for +100 Security Points ๐
Good to Know
- Turn on 2-step login if the app asks โ it emails you a code as extra protection. Worth doing for something this important.
- This isn't Google or Apple's password manager โ it won't show up automatically if you're used to those. You have to open Bitwarden or use the extension.
- If you already have passwords saved in Chrome, Edge, or LastPass, Dad can help move them all into here in one go instead of retyping everything.
Something Not Working?
- Can't log in? Double check the server address is exactly vault.teichou.net โ it has to be set before you type your email/password.
- Forgot your master password? Tell Dad right away โ the sooner the better.
- App won't sync? Check your internet connection, then try closing and reopening the app.
